Back to the Future at the Homestead Hayfest

Come celebrate the harvest season with a free hands-on family festival at the Jackson Homestead and Museum.The Homestead Hayfest celebrates 19th century family life and lets you try your hand at living the way families did 200 years ago. In its seventh year, this event is expanding and has become a tradition for many Newton families. Great way to instill a love of history!

enter in a burlap sack race
create a silhouette to take home
make your own butter
try carding and spinning wool
learn to play the game of graces
enjoy hot cider and baked goods
